If in Libellula [SHOP] exist an order with an article with the same code, will be shown a window
for the automatic assignment of the article in Libellula {SHOP] with the Icon that we are saving:
The Library contains all the Icons previously saved. Here it is possible
to visualize and modify the data of each Icon.
To select the Icon you wish to import, it is possible to use the Icons
Library and its filters which can be visualized clicking on “Library Filters”
on the left bottom corner. It is also possible to seek an
Icon through its code, its material of realization, its description, its
thickness, through its data of creation, etc.
Moreover, during the research you can apply more than one filter at
the same time.
Once you have inserted all the filters, click on START UP to apply
them and in this way only the Icons with the appear characteristics
will be found. If you want to remove the applied filters, click on the
“Remove Filters” X button whose outline is red.
When you start up the CUT module, you will find three areas:
A. Icons: in this area are inserted the Icons to be created. The Icons can be inserted
through the Icons Library and it will be possible to modify their parameters.
B. Sheets: in this area are inserted the sheet formats used for the Nesting creation.
C. Icons Library: this area contains all the Icons saved. From this area it is possible to
select the Icons which you want to insert in your work.
Once you have created an Icon, the latter is saved into the Icons Library which you can find on
the left of our worktop.
1. Select the chosen Icon from the Icons Library and drag it by “Drag&Drop” directly on
“ Icons” section of the automatic nesting. From this section it is possible to insert the
minimum quantity demanded and then you can also modify others parameters.
2. Once you have done it, you can go to the next stage, locating your mouse on “
Sheets” and with the right button of it select “ Add from Icons list”. Also here there is
a wide choosing range of personalization.
3. Once you have chosen the desired characteristics, click on “ start Nesting”.
4. “Nesting results” is the section in which they will appear the various solutions
elaborated by the Automatic Nesting.
5. In the bottom part in the same right column, it will be possible to see the geometrical
preview of the result, subject to the achieved Nesting selection.
In the Automatic Nesting menu has benn enabled two new functions:
The Average Quality Nesting, is a new nesting mode that execute more trials and
calculation, with a better result that the standard one, but with a major usage of elaboration
time.
The accurate Nesting, execute the a lot of nesting trial and calculation, more than the
Average Quality, giving in the end the best result calculated at all, with the parameters set
by user.
With this option, as shown by the command icon in the menu, will use also a lot more time.
I drag the Icon on the sheet and I place the geometry of the Icon.
I can use different combinations of the keys to copy and paste the imported Icon in a quicker
way.
A. Ribbon Technology: list of the various available commands for the Technology Cut.
B. Working area: the Technology operations will be applied directly to this area.
When an Icon has entirely been filled, it will be highlighted immediately with the disappearance
of its color of completion.
In the Libellula program it is possible to perform the automatic technology of a part, a whole
sheet or a multi-sheet nesting.
Set the parameters of the automatic cut, in the technological configurator. The Automatic Cut
will be done according to the various configurations that has been set in this section.
To start up the Automatic cut, choose the desired typology clicking on “ Automatic” or on the
following menu.
Once you have created an Icon, the latter is saved into the Icons Library which you can find on
the left of our worktop
Then, click on the desired profile. The program will make the cut of the selected profile, applying
the attack previously selected to the point you click on with the left button of the mouse. In
order to continue the part cut, click in sequence on the following profiles you want to cut.
Give always way to the internal profiles of the parts, cutting them all before performing the
Technology of the external profile.
Local Cut Parameters: the attacks are defined locally in the options cut window, under the “
type of “attack” voice.
Cut Parameters set up in geometry: “Libellula” program will automatically load the
predefined at -
tacks in the technological tables, according to the colours settled during the Icon saving.
Cut Parameters from Tables:
Type of Attack: Attack used for the cut of the profile or of the part.
Revision: Revision option on the execution of the attack. Once you have set the parameters,
click on “OK”. Therefore, it will be possible to perform the Technology on a part or on a profile
To modify the Lead-In properties to be used during the realization of the manual or automatic
Technology when you use the local cut parameters, it is necessary to go to the options cut
page, clicking on the “ CUT” contextual menu on the Ribbon of the “ Technology” tab.
In the table, select the Lead-In you want to modify. Therefore, the parameters of the selected
attack will be visualized on the right side of the window. Modify the desired parameters, then
click “OK”. Once you have finished the attacks modification, select “OK” to go out of the options
cut page and go on with the desired Technology
Clicking on” Manual Cut”, I click on the profiles defining the cut sequence by locating an attack
at a
time. To Cancel the applied cut sequence, click on DELETE CURRENT SHEET.
In evidence the button which is placed on the right top corner of the
Ribbon at the “Technology” tab.
SAVE WORKING FILE: after doing the Technology cut, click on “Save processing”, then click
on the desired Icon. The Technology will be saved with the same name of the selected Icon.
LOAD WORKING FILE: to load a saved processing click on “Load processing”, then click on the
desired Icon.
REPEAT: if you do not want to save an Icon processing but you only want to repeat it, it is
possible to use the “Repeat” function. Click on the function, then on the previously worked Icon,
finally click on the Icon on which you want to repeat the processing.
Once you have set the parameters of the microjoints, click “OK”.
1. To apply the microjoints to the part, click on the “Microjoints” button on the Ribbon
in “Special functions” voice, then click on the desired profile. The program will apply the
microjoints to the selected profile, locating it on the point where you click with the left button
of the mouse.
2. It is possible to apply more microjoints to the same profile or on more profiles at the same
time. The microjoints are numbered according to the order they are applied with.
On the bar which is above the working area, it is possible to modify the microjoints properties,
their direction and their gap (dimension of the Microjoint).
Clicking on the green button “OK” the microjoints are applied to the selected points.
From the “ OPEN” menu it is possible to visualize the selected Nesting previews to open them
again Later.
The preview contains all the information concerning the quantities of the placed Icons.
Key in the “Work name” section the desired code, in this way it will be activated the function of
the automatic completion to find easily the right code.
The button allows to modify the Post Processor parameters or to create the
file which has to be sent to the machine. Each modification to the Technology
or to the Nesting will update in real time the preview of the machine code

From the new Jobs Library is now possible to delete the Jobs saved on database, pressing the
DEL button, or using the button .
The deleting of a Job, is now connected with the Orders Management, and the Sheet
Warehouse. If a Job is deleted, will appear first this window:
If the procedure of reopening Orders and updating sheet Warehouse is confirmed, the nested
quantity will be decreased for the quantity nested on the selected job, and also the seets used
in the job selected will return in Sheet Warehouse.
For the projecting of a Bevel Icon, with its overall profile, there are some main steps to follow
on :
a. Angle
b. Braanch Highness
c. K Bevel parameters
TYPE BEVEL 1.
TYPE BEVEL 3.
TYPE BEVEL 5.
Type Bevel 2
Type Bevel 3
Type Bevel 5
Bevel Type 1
Bevel Type 2
Bevel Type 4
The 3D Preview can be also used in Icons Library, also for not-bevel icons.
On the sheet, the Icon will be showed with its overall profile that will be considered as a limit for
the nesting:
To set the overall profile color, is possible to change it in the Option menu, voice “Manual
Nesting”
When the Bevel command is pressed, and during all the time that it is active waiting for the
entity selection, is possible to see and change the parameter that affect the working and are:
Head Position in the arriving move to the new cut (low, high, low in the piece)
Piercing type
Lead-in Type with its parameters
Option to do the continuous cut, to avoid a new piercing, doing a cut instead of a move
Cut direction than could be: By geometry, clockwise, counterclockwise
Point of cut restart: for the Bevel type 3, 4, 5, it can be chosen that for example the third
cut start from the nearest vertex where is arrived the previous cut, o if it must start from
the same vertex where it started to cut the first.
In the situation where the restart is from the nearest vertex, it can be chosen the
continuous cut, to avoid in this way a new piercing
The previous parameters, like Piercing and Lead-in, are different from the same parameter in
the normal cut, and are "local" parameters. The option "From Geometry" and "From Tables"
doesn't change the Bevel Technology.
The cutting line to use is specified in the Geometry of the Icon, for each bevel entity specified in
the icon file form, and so is defined when the geometry is drawn.
In the sheet will be shown for each icon the bevel lead-in points with dashed lines, different
from a Non-Bevel icon:
The command search for all the contiguous entities to the selected one, with the same bevel
angle, and works with an unique cut sequence.
If we work on Bevel Type 1 Icons, the only option used will be the first of the three at our
disposal, and it works to choose if the bevel cut between and element and another one must be
done in continuous cut o with a move without cutting.
With the first option, the machine will works like this:
With Bevel Element of Type 3, 4, 5, will be active 2 other options, one to choose if the moving
between two entities of the same element it has to be done restarting from the nearest point, or
to maintain the cutting direction and restart from the same side.
The first option, in this situation, will show the movement of the machine between the workings
of contiguous bevel elements if is in cutting or only movement.
With the first option the machine will work in this way:
With the second option the machine will work in this way:
With the third option “not continuous cut”, the machine will work in this way:
In this way, will be kept the cut direction for all the Bevel elements, and the movement between
the workings of the same entity will be done in laser off.
With the third option “continuous cut” the machine will work in this way:
In this way, the laser will be always on during the movements between the diffferent elemnt of
the same bevel entity.
1. The first option let the user cut a bevel entity and
all its contiguous entities completely, with
different passages in a Bevel type 5.
3. The third option let the user cut all the no bevel
elements of an Icon (with an angle = 0), as for
example the Branch of Bevel Type 3, 4.
In Libellula [SHOP] has been introduced a new functionality called “Import Bill”.
With this function is possible to transform all the icons required in a previously saved nesting,
with their quantity, in orders in Order Management, using these quantities as a “Bill of Material”.
Once clicked on the new button, in the Libellula[SHOP] menu, it can be chosen a previously
saved Nesting.

After this, will be possible to see and check all the icons of the selected Job, before finishing the
procedure.
The result will be the Order Management with the new orders created.
In the CAD 3D Menu, has been introduced the new menu SICUBE, for the integration of Libellula
[CAD] with the 3D cut software SICUBE.
The functions at disposal in this menu are divided in 4 main groups:
1 2 3 4
1) General Menu
The “lenght” is only a visual setting for the showing of the normals in Libellula [CUBE]
environment.
The “spacing” for a Normali s the maximum distance parameter for the space between two
normals.
The Tube thickness is the technological information of the thickness of the Tube where on in will
be calculated the Normal Calculation.
Concept: Tool
A “Tool” is a tridimensional entity that in the intersection with the pipe sets a cut line.
2) 4 Axis Menu
In the 3D environment, the “Fixture” is the structure where the 3d Part that will be worked by
SICUBE is put on. This fixtures can be calculated automatically in Libellula[CUBE] as a series of
2D Icons to be cutted and mounted.
3) 5 Axis Menu
Calculates the Normals on the 3D surface for the creation ofa the
SICUBE model.
- Save fixture Model: Save the Fixture model with the Normals
calculated on it, to be cutted directly in a 3D cutting machine.
With the thickness set, the angle, move the normals of the
selected cut.
