The heart is an organ of the approximate size of a fist, it is composed of muscle tissue and pumps

blood throughout the body transporting oxygen to each and every one of the cells, after
distributing oxygen, the blood returns to the heart. Your heart rate is between 60 and 100 heart
rate per minute. It is located near the chest in the lungs, behind and slightly to the left of the
sternum. It weighs approximately between 250-350gr in men and between 200-300gr in women.
It has the shape of an inverted cone with the tip directed to the left and has a unique fibrous
texture of the autonomous striated muscle.
