pieces of papers and plastics under your chairs.
-(After picking up)You may now take your seats.

4) Checking of attendance

-Is everybody present today? -Yes Ma’am. (May vary)

5) Setting up of standards
-Before we proceed, let’s first sing a song about -(Everybody will sing a
Mathematics. Mathematics song)
-What can you say about the song? -We need to love Mathematics
because everything we do, needs
Mathematics.

6) Reminder about COVID-19

-Nowadays, the rapid spread of COVID-19 became -Wear a protective face mask.
the greatest problem in our country. As a student, how can you -Avoid handshakes.
help stop COVID-19? -Use alcohol-based hand
sanitizers.
-Observe physical distancing.
-Wash your hands with soap
frequently.

B.Motivation
-Before we proceed to our lesson proper, let’s first have a
short activity. I will group you into 3 groups. The title of the
activity we have today is “Identify Me”. Each group will be
given a chalk and an illustration board.
In this activity, you are going to identify whether the
following is a POPULATION or a SAMPLE.
Write P for population and S for sample.
Each group will be given 10 seconds to answer each
question.
-But before we start, what are the standards/rules to follow
in conducting a group activity? -(Random students will answer.)
-Cooperate
-Do not do anything not related to
the activity.
-Try your best to give an answer or
an idea.
-Be responsible.

--Right! You should follow those RULES.

-Any question or clarification? -No Ma’am.
-Are you ready? -Yes Ma’am, we are ready.

1) All Grade-7 students of Marcelino C. Regis Integrated -Answer: P

School
2)All male frontliners in Misamis Occidental -Answer: P
3) Twenty male Grade – 7 students having 80-85 general -Answer: S

4) 400 voters in Kinuman Norte,Ozamiz - Answer: S
5) All female participants in Barkada Kontra Droga -Answer: P
Campaign

-Good job everyone! You did great! Give your selves, two
claps and one stomp.

C.Lesson Proper
1) Presentation
-Your answer will now lead us to our new topic for
today,”Organizing Data Using Ungrouped Frequency
Distribution Table.” -Organize data using frequency
-Please read the objectives that we are going to achieve distribution table (M7SP-IVc-1)
for today’s discussion! -Construct frequency table based
on a given set of data
-Value the importance of the
learned concept in real-life
situation

-Thank you, class.

2) Discussion
-We are going to have another activity. The title of our
activity is “COVID-19 Cases”. I will divide you into
three groups. Listen carefully to the directions.
Directions:
 Study the data found inside the box and answer
the questions that follow:
COVID 19 Cases of Region X: Northern Mindanao
The following is the summary of the number of
COVID19 cases of the province of Region X: Bukidnon -(Let the learners read what’s
– 12; Cagayan de Oro City – 30; Camiguin – 4; Iligan inside the box.)
City – 8; Lanao del Norte – 21; Misamis Occidental –
18; Misamis Oriental – 12; and Unknown Province/
City – 66. (https://www.doh.gov.ph/2019-ncov/, July
06, 2020)
Guide questions:
 Which province has the largest number of
COVID19 cases? -(Let the group leader pick a
question for their group.)
 Which province has the smallest number of
COVID19 cases?
 What is the difference between the largest
and the smallest number of cases?
 If you are given a chance to visit one of
these provinces, where will it be and why?
 Each group will choose one guide question and
present their answer through a newscast, a song -Yes Ma’am
or a role play.
-Is that clear?
-(After 1 minute)- Reporting and Analysis of group
outputs)
-One way of organizing data in the most systematic
and organized manner is using a table. It is more
effective when: -(Let the learners read)
 the title clearly states what the table is all about;
 the data are arranged systematically in columns
and properly labeled;
 the date of the survey is indicated; and
 the source of the data is properly identified -Frequency refers to a number of
-In your own understanding, what is frequency? data collected as a result of
observation

- Frequency distribution table is a

-What is frequency distribution table? tabular method of organizing data.

-There are five steps in constructing frequency

distribution table. We are going to use these steps in
constructing frequency table for this example.
-Example: Mrs. Bontilao goes to school with a box
of assorted fruits. Create a frequency distribution
table given the data inside Mrs. Bontilao’s box. -Apples, Oranges, Guavas,
-What are the fruits inside Mrs. Bontilao’s box? Bananas

-To organize the data inside the box we, need to

construct a frequency distribution table.
-What is the first step in constructing frequency Step 1: Create a table with 3
distribution table? columns. Label each column
accordingly: Fruit, Tally, and
Frequency. (Let the learners create
a three-column table)
-Since we are done creating a three-column table, Step 2: Write the categories or the
what will be or next step? names of fruits in the first column.
(Let the learners write apple,
orange, guava and banana in the
first column)
-What is our 3rd step? Step 3: Tally the number of
occurrences of the particular fruit.
(Let them tally all the fruits inside
the box)
-Since we are done tallying all the data, what will Step 4: Count the tally marks and
we do next? write the frequency in the 3rd
column.
-What is our last step? Step 5: Finalize the table. Make
sure to write the title.

-Very good! All of you are very active and -None Ma’am!
participative! Any question in organizing data?

3) Guided Practice
-We are going to have a group activity “The Great
Explosion”. I will again divide you into 3 groups. Each
group will be given a manila paper, a tablet and a
marker. Please read the directions. - To comply with the things
needed in the activity, you should
follow the rules and instructions in
your tablet.
-Work as a team. As a group,
cooperation of each member and
the teamwork must be presented
during the task.
-Don’t cheat. Cheating is very
prohibited. Any kinds of cheat
during the challenge will loss you
point and a chance to win.
-Be fast. Every second counts so,
participants must be aware of the
time they’re consuming and be
fast.
-The direction in accomplishing your activity is in your
tablet. Use manila paper and a marker for your
frequency distribution table.
-You will be given 10 minutes to finish the said activity.
-Each group will be given 1 minute to present their
answers in their own creative way.
-Remember to follow standards/rules in conducting a
group activity. Is it clear? -Yes Ma’am!
ACTIVITY: THE GREAT EXPLOSION
Materials Needed:
• Baking soda, vinegar, dishwashing liquid,
manila paper, marker
Directions:
1) Follow the 5 steps.
2) If you’re done with Step 1 & 2, approach your
teacher to get your first item.
3) If you’re done with step 3 & 4, approach again
your teacher to get your second item.
4) If you’re done with step 5, approach your
teacher to get the remaining items and mix all
the items in your designated artificial volcano.
5) Get ready for presentation.

A 50-item test in Science is given to 15 Grade- 7 Mt.

Banahaw students at Marcelino C. Regis Integrated
School. The scores are as follows: 50, 30, 49, 28, 49, 48,

- And also, we have the rubrics that will rate your

outputs.
