Assignment

Back in 2015, I was in Lucknow attending my class with my classmates and all of a sudden I felt
that the benches started shaking and it scared the hell out of me. That was the first time I
experienced earthquake.
Me and my friends were small and we didn’t know a lot about disaster management so we were
just following the crowd with the blind eye trust. It was the blessings of God that it didn’t resulted
in something bad but now that I see that it the basics we have to follow in a disaster because at
that point of time everyone feels to scared that they don’t remember the basics for an eg:- I
could have straightly went to our big school ground that could have been very safe for me. So
from this I conclude the importance of disaster management even in the early stage of life.

Rather than these the things we could learn from it are :-

Review your family preparedness plan.

assemble an earthquake kit

keep repairing deep cracks in the walls.

keep things like photo frame, fan, light’s aways from the bed.

Identify safe places in each room of the house.
