I. Problem Statement

According to (Younis et al. 2008) study on activities in community parks, He stated that
Public parks Public parks are a natural buffer for maintaining the urban environment and
are important for aesthetic well-being, thus positively contributing to the quality of life of
city dwellers. Communities living in densely populated areas associated with Parka have
environmental, social, personal and health benefits. Parks improve the socioeconomic
conditions of urban communities and also improve the quality of the physical
environment

Based on the observation on this research, there are 92% of the park visitors were
males, while 8% the park visitors were females that is enjoying the activities in the said
park. They also observed the low given on green spaces for the user to provide an
oppurtunity for outing

II. Recommendation
Without public parks there is a little social community interaction, no playground for kids
and no outdoor recreation areas for citizens and adults. From dog park to playgrounds. These
public green spaces are recreational areas that will serve the need of community members.
Designing a Public Community Park should be consider on choosing a Park Location and
studied It, Know the community, Engage the Community in the planning process, Landscaping
and Architectural factors, Provide options for park activities (e.g Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball
court), Pick the right playground orientation, Add right of lighting to the Park Design, Set the
Park Design to Success Recreation.

III. Conclusion
The Public designed Guttwala and Canal Park located in Faisalabad, Pakistan needs to
be achieved by right management and good maintenance and upgrade of the park as an
effort by the local government or authority by taking the main elements; design, layout,
landscaping, sustainable material, facilities and many more into considerations of design
project. As a result of this effort, it will enhance the livability of the public park, its
sustainable environment and its role to the public as it could uplift the quality of life and
benefit the society in many ways.
