1A3- BS Psychology

What is the significance of studying biology in relation to your course of study?

Psychology is the study of both overt and covert behavior. Biology studies how all
living things behave in order to understand how they grow, reproduce, and go
about their everyday existence. People's interactions with their surroundings
determine how they behave. Therefore, it is hard to examine behavior in depth
without having a basic understanding of biological concepts. Biology-related
fields include physiology, which studies how living things function and the
metabolic bases of behavior. Despite their close relationship, psychology and
biology emphasize certain topics in different ways. The makeup and function of
biological organs are the primary fields of study for biologists. The examination
of how biological processes affect mental and behavioral functioning is a key
focus of psychology. Each field continues to have a special emphasis despite the
fact that some of the difficulties are comparable.
