Narrative Report/Reflection:

TEACHING Practice teaching is very much meaningful especially for the practitioner wherein you are being
exposed of what really is the field of teaching. In addition, practice teaching serves as a training ground for
the aspirant teachers to fully equipped with skills and knowledge. After grasping learning of teaching
profession we need to experience it in real scenario because I truly believed that knowledge has no value
unless we put it into practice. January 16 2023 my first day of my internship course I was assigned at Gosi
National High School. When our practice teaching started,I felt mixed emotions where I don’t know what
would happen to me on the first day of internship. On the very first day, we are being oriented with the
school head wherein they told us of the assigned grade level. Afterwards, we got inside to our assigned
grade. My cooperating teacher introduced me towards her students. I was glad because they welcomed
me as their student teacher. On that day, I learned a lot even it’s just the beginning of my journey.
Eventually, there are times that i felt idleness because you are busy on the whole day then at night you
need to prepare a lot of things for tomorrow’s activity. Sometimes, you felt doubt because even though
you give your best in teaching but still it wasn’t good enough. I really liked my cooperating teacher
because she is very nice to me and she is also good and patient trainer and she told me to do my best
which I so much appreciated because it helps me to do better for my career. I always told myself that I do
this not only for my own but because I was born to serve people in teaching them preparing for a bright
future.“Teaching is the noblest profession of all”. Indeed, it is not easy to teach students but If you have
the passion in teaching you can be a hero in this modern world. As an aspirant teacher,we must have a big
heart and showcase our passion in the field of teaching because God will do the rest.

Teaching for me is like being a shepherd and the students are my flock. As a shepherd, I am held
responsible for my flock. I have to make sure that everyone is all accounted for, that everyone is healthy
and well while they are at my watch. I serve as the students guide as they walk across an uncertain path;
whenever a sheep is lost I have to make sure that he/she will be back on track to keep up with the other
sheep. I also have to keep them well groomed and make sure that everything about them from head
to toe is tidy including their surroundings.

Teaching for me is like being a Game Master. I have to prepare educational games for my
students for them to be enticed with the topic. As a game master, I must see to it that everyone is
abiding the games mechanics that everyone is participating and most importantly everyone is having
fun. Lastly, teaching for me is like being an actress. I should be able to present myself with poise and
confidence in everything that I do. I have to look my best in every class appearances.

And even though I am not feeling well or I am not in the mood to teach I still must act like there is no
problem. Like an actress, the class must always go on in spite of of any interruptions.
Teaching is indeed a noble profession because teachers must go an extra mile in order to deliver
quality learning to their students. It is a kind of job that many have ventured but only few has
managed to fulfill the real duty. Teaching is a profession that extends beyond the realms in the four
corners of the classroom. In teaching we impose discipline and strict compliance with the school's
policy but at the same time we also show mercy and compassion towards our students. In teaching,
we don't just teach-we care.
