Sub: Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Question Paper with Recorded
Responses for Answer Key Challenge for JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 1 - Reg.
The JEE (Main) - 2023 Session 1 was conducted throughout the Country and abroad on 24, 25,
28, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February 2023 in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys for Paper 1
(B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Paper 2B (B. Planning) along with the question
papers with recorded responses on the website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in for candidates to
challenge. The procedure for the challenge of Answer Key is as enclosed at Annexure 1.
Candidates, who are not satisfied with the Answer Key, may challenge the same by paying a fee
of ₹ 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged as a non-refundable processing
fee. The details for Answer Key Challenge are given below:

The Payment for processing fee may be made through, Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking till
04 February 2023 (upto 08:00 p.m.). No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the
processing fee. The fee towards challenge will not be accepted through any other mode.
Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of Subject Experts. If the
challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the
response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result
will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the
acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The Key finalized by the Experts after the
challenge will be final. No challenge will be accepted after 04 February 2023 (upto 08:00
p.m.).

6. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the
mostappropriate Answer Key by NTA.
7. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option
IDsgiven in the next four columns by clicking the check box .
8. You may upload supporting documents for which you can select ‘Choose File’and
upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).
9. After clicking your desired option, for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry for
Paper1 (B.E. /B. Tech.), Mathematics / Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (B.Arch.),
and Mathematics /Aptitude Test / Planning for Paper 2B (B.Planning), scroll
down and ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.
10. You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
12. Select Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for
each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
