Position F/M New observers for nonlinear dynamical systems via Lie theory
For more than ten years, the Inria center at Lille has been located at the heart of University of Lille
and scienti c ecosystem, as well as at the heart of Frenchtech, with a technology showroom
based on the EuraTechnologies, site of economic excellence dedicated to information and
communication technologies.
Assignment
With the help of his/her supervisors (Rosane Ushirobira and Denis E mov), the main objectives of
the recruited person will be to propose innovative observation methods for nonlinear dynamical
systems using Lie theory. Thanks to the structural properties of Lie algebras and Lie groups, the
results obtained will involve non-asymptotic algorithms, therefore simple and particularly fast.
Also the obtained theoretical results might be applied to practical problems, particularly air-land
robotics. VALSE has several di erent platforms for experimentation. For more details, please
check VALSE's website. The Ph.D. student will be part of the VALSE team in the Inria center.
