1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd (KEI) is undertaking the development of Terang
Sirasun Batur (TSB) project in two phases:
x Phase-1; Development of the Terang Field (5 wells). Phase-1 production
commenced in 2012,
x Phase-2; Development of the Batur field (1 well; BTO-01) and Sirasun
field (3 wells; SIO-01, SIO-02 and SIO-03).
The gas from the fields flows to the Floating Production Unit (FPU) Joko Tole providing
separation, compression, dehydration, and supporting utilities systems. The treated
gas will be fiscally metered and exported via an 18-inch diameter transmission pipeline
to the East Java Gas Pipeline (EJGP) which delivers the gas to customers. The overall
system was designed to meet a maximum export gas rate of 330-MMscfd. Operation
of the fields will be controlled and supervised from the FPU Joko Tole.
The TSB fields is located in a seismically active area in the Bali Sea approximately
120 km from Pagerungan Island, off the north coast of East Java (Figure 1-1).

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the TU Project team to obtain from the client the agreed umbilical lengths and to advise the
Logistics and Process departments accordingly. If there are any urgent changes that could impact on Production, the
TU QA department and Production shift supervisor must be informed.
It is the responsibility of the TU Project team to obtain from the client the agreed umbilical length marking details
and to advise the Logistics and Process departments accordingly.
It is the responsibility of the TU Production department to apply the length marking in accordance with this
“Umbilical Length Specification” (ULS) document, and the “Umbilical Packing Specification” (UPS) document.
5.3 Checking
It is the responsibility of the TU Production shift supervisor and quality control engineer to check, prior to cutting
umbilical components, sub-bundles and bundles, that the UMS and the ULS are consistent. This check shall be
recorded in accordance with TU Standing Instruction QHSE-SI-005 - Review and Verification prior to cutting
Bundles, Sub-Bundles and Umbilicals, REF. [5], QHSE-F-032 – Final Umbilical, Bundle and Sub-Bundle Length
marking and Review prior to cutting, REF. [6], and the relevant project documentation.
5.4 Cutting
It is the responsibility of the TU Production department to obtain approval to cut in accordance with “Final Umbilical,
Bundle and Sub Bundle, Length Marking and Review Prior to Cutting” QHSE-SI-005 (REF. [5]) by completing –
QHSE-F-032 (REF. [6]).
5.5 Discrepancies
In case of discrepancy during the review and verification of the information, the Process and Projects departments
must be contacted to confirm the required sub-bundle/umbilical length prior to any cutting taking place.
It is the responsibility of the TU Applications department to obtain approval to terminate the umbilical in accordance
with the APP-C-001 - Approval to Terminate Checklist, REF. [7].
6.0 DETAIL
