relationships and associations, direct/reported speech, passive/active voice, simple past and past perfect
tenses, and sentence connectors, the learner exhibits understanding of how Philippine Literature under the
Period of Emergence and other text types work. They also use the right oral language and stance in
informative speech forms to express ideas, opinions, feelings, and emotions; serve as a tome for others.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner participates competently in a simple argument about declaring
one's identity in a varied society.

Tense of Verbs. Our target learning
competencies are the following:

b. change the verbs from present tense to past
tense form;
c. tell about actions and events in the past and
d. use past tense correctly in varied
contexts such as writing a narrative and
journal entry

either d, or ed to the verb.
