WRITTEN REPORT-CLIMATE CHANGE

As individuals, we chose the same main topic to focus on, which eventually led to us being
in the same group. This central topic is climate change, however, each individual was given
a different sub-topic. These sub-topics are as follows: the causes of climate change, effects
of climate change, how climate change has affected agriculture, the greenhouse effect and
its impact on society, air pollution and how it has contributed to climate change, and the final
sub-topic is greenhouse gases and how it has contributed to climate change.

In this written report we focused on three main questions to decide which sources should be
used to complete it. These questions include the causes of climate change, the effects of
climate change and how can we prevent climate change. The reason why we chose this
strategy is because we believe these three questions cover at least one aspect of each of
our sources.

The first source that we decided to use was a website that was retrieved from our group
member who chose the sub-topic causes of climate change. On this website, you will find
that the information disclosed is with regards to greenhouse gases and the greenhouse
effect, human causes of climate change, and the natural causes of climate change.
Subsequently to this, the second source that was chosen is a newspaper article taken from
our group member who chose the sub-topic effects of climate change. This article was taken
from the Jamaica Gleaner Archive's official website and composes of information like quotes
from Ian Stein about the impact of climate change at the Pan American Health Organization
World Health Day ceremony. The last and final source that was chosen is a youtube video
that explains the entire concept of climate change in a narrative format as well as informing
the audience about how the earth’s climate keeps on changing and suggesting various
ways in which we can help to prevent it.
The 3 sources and the introduction to this topic have driven us to learn and understand how
our planet could be in grave danger in the foreseeable future if we don’t help to prevent
climate change and has driven us to be concious of this social issue and teach our pairs
about it.
