IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NAGOYA PROTOCOL IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE PACIFIC

The Government of (country) examines the PIF proposal which outlines activities to assist with
ratifying/acceding to the Nagoya Protocol as well as establishing an enabling environment for
the implementation of its basic provisions.

In my capacity as the GEF Operational Focal Point, I hereby officially express the agreement of
(country) and request that the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) provides the
necessary technical assistance to enable my (country) be part of the Mid-sized project (MSP).
