Locution: It can be classified as an affirmative and imperative sentence conjugated in


present tense.

Illocution: It refers to an action that Mistica wants the other listeners to do; in this case
she wants everyone to concentrate on doing the homework.

Type of Illocution: This is an imperative sentence which expresses a directive illocution.

Perlocution: This sentence produces that her friends to concentrate on doing the
homework.

Since the locution and the illocution coincide in this sentence, we can say that this is a
direct speech.

 I think she would look better without a boyfriend.

Locution: This is an affirmative and declarative sentence conjugated in present tense.

Illocution: Moroni tries to flirt with Mystica in front of her boyfriend and at the same time
make her boyfriend Henry angry.

Type of Illocution: It is a declarative sentence which expresses an expressive illocution.

Perlocution: This causes Herny to get angry and everyone else to feel uncomfortable with
the situation.

This sentence is indirect because there’s no coincidence at the syntactic structure.

and future tense.

Illocution: We can say that it is a threat, something that Herny will possibly do in the
future; in this case, he will hurt Moroni if he flirts with his girlfriend again.

Type of Illocution: It is an imperative sentence which expresses a commisive illocution.

Perlocution: It caused Moroni to step back and ask him to calm down.

It is an indirect speech.

 I don't care about the homework, I'm angry!

Locution: This is a negative, declarative and exclamative sentence conjugated in present


tense.

Illocution: It expresses how Herny feels about this specific situation, in this case he
exclaims how angry he is at that moment.

Type of Illocution: It is a declarative and exclamative sentence which expresses an


expressive illocution.

Perlocution: It caused all the others to start arguing.

This is a direct speech.
