Cloud computing research

1.Cloud service provider (CSP)- it is a third party that provides computing resources that
businesses can access on demand over a network. It’s a company that offers some component
of cloud computing. “In the simplest terms cloud computing is the delivery of services over the
Internet.” (Lamb, 2011)

2.Platform as a service (PaaS)- “helps them develop and test apps without having to worry
about the underlying infrastructure.” This helps people develop platforms easier. (Butler, 2013)

3.What are two benefits of cloud computing?

 Cost savings, it allows you to access more, and you won’t have to pay a much bigger
price.
 Reliability and flexibility, since it is on the internet, it is saved to multiple places. It is
flexible because people can access corporate data from any device, anywhere and at
any time, using the internet.

4.What is a disadvantage?
 Downtime… since cloud computing is on the internet, if you don't have access to the
internet or the internet goes down you won’t have access to the recourses now.
