What is the Cloud?

1) What are Cloud Service Providers?

Cloud Service Provides are an Information Technology company that provides
customers with on demand computing recourses over the internet such as apps, storage,
and computing power just to name a few.
2) What is Platform as a Service (PaaS)?
Platform as a service or PaaS is a Third-Party Company hosted hardware and
software service provided to customers or other companies. Some popular examples of
PaaS are Google App Engine and Microsoft Azure.
3) What are two benefits of cloud computing?
One huge benefit of cloud computing is that the user or customer has does not have
to keep up maintenance. When I say maintenance, I mean that of keeping up with storage
issues for big companies or constantly must stay up to date with software for private
customers yes, this convenience comes with a fee, but it is worth it. Secondly to be able
to access hardware or software from anywhere in the world. If you have an internet
connection accessibility to your service is possible and this is perfect for on-the-go
companies or private customers.
4) What is one disadvantage of using cloud computing?
A major disadvantage of cloud computing is that nothing that you are using is locally
stored on your computer. So, if whatever host of the service you are using goes down
than your stored files can be inaccessible or lost and any app or service will be out of
reach until the host comes back online.
