The first lesson of our foundation and design class was

today.

It didn't go well, at least not for me because I was too shy

to talk to anyone. Nonetheless, I gave it my all.

We are initially instructed to compose a brain dump.

Clearing our minds before class truly felt amazing, and it

seemed like a brilliant idea. Everyone was required to
identify themselves, share their hometown and traditional
meal, take a selfie, pass on one of their noteworthy traits
to the next person, and introduce themselves in the same
way as the person we just met. We had to meet and
collect information from at least 10 people during this
process, which lasted for 30 minutes.
I've gotten people's introductions and met them. After we
finished the work, Sir instructed us to write a commentary
on what transpired and how we felt during our interactions
with individuals, as well as to write the information we had
learned about them and confirm its accuracy with those
people.
At the time of the activity, when everyone was occupied
socialising, it was a mess.
The main goal of the activity was to help us integrate into
the rich diversity of the student body.
Sir briefed on all activities and things.
I had mixed feelings after the session since I felt good
about having interacted with new individuals but also
anxious about taking selfies with others.
I've gotten the introduction to several persons I've met.
After we finished the work, Sir instructed us to write a
commentary on what transpired and how we felt
throughout our interactions with others. He also instructed
us to put down the information we had learned about the
people we interacted with and to confirm its accuracy with
them.
When everyone was engaged in conversation, the area
was a mess.
Our participation in the exercise was intended to help us
integrate into the varied student body.
Sir briefed on all activities and other matters.
I had conflicting feelings after the session was over: on the
one hand, I felt good about having interacted with new
individuals, but on the other, I was anxious to take pictures
with them.

November 22,2023
Another activity followed, requiring us to close our eyes
and punch 200 holes spaced 2 cm apart in a piece of
paper. We then had to use three separate pens to draw
three lines from each dot and connect them to other lines.
It wasn't too difficult, but I attempted to do it properly even
if I didn't get the results I wanted. I initially merely paid
attention to finishing the assignment, but some of my
fellow students tried the same thing and developed a
pattern for the task.
I didn't understand what Sir was trying to convey by
making us do this, but I did somewhat enjoy it.
The session was then over.

29 November 2022
As usual, brain dump allowed me to clear my mind of all
the thoughts I have during the day during a session at the
beginning.

Then, sir began the exercise for verifying our attendance,

which required us to totally fill the paper with whatever we
wanted using a pencil and without ever lifting it off the
page.
The work seemed intriguing, so I started by drawing some
shapes and tried to fill the entire sheet to create a pattern.
This was a little challenging, but when I looked at some of
the other students, I realised that one of them had filled
the paper with circles and other shapes.
Then, as part of the task, we continued to collect various
brown leaves of all shapes, sizes, etc. We painted them,
and it was such a fun exercise that I actually loved it. I
finally finished my painting, and I tried to make it look as
authentic as I could. Then, like he mentioned, it would
have been a terrific idea if we had created a pattern or
some other kind of design using the paintings.
I kept looking at other people's work and while many of
them painted it nicely, I didn't see anything with an
intriguing design.
Even here, I wasn't really sure what the guy was getting
at, but the notion of making us gather various kinds of
leaves and then make them look alike was quite intriguing
and caused me to wonder "how come this activity is all
tied to engineering."

06 December 2022

Once more, the session began with sir having us do a

brain dump and then assigning us work after explaining
why he made us complete all of those tasks.
Following the brain dump, sir made us read various PDFs
and material he displayed on a ppt. He then asked us to
express our feelings about being forced to do all of these
things without being aware of their purposes, so sir gave
us a table to fill out.
My information was a little sloppy when I filled it out.then
paint them similarly was kind of intriguing and made me
wonder why this activity is all related. Although the
information I considered and filled out was somewhat
comparable, I still didn't understand why he had us
complete all of these tasks. I wanted to see what Sir
thought about that activity because I was so inquisitive.
However, he never revealed the true purpose of these
actions.
Today's task was to create a collage of yourself using
objects from the environment. I felt great while working on
this project because I enjoyed the exercise.
I actually put in a lot of work on that, although I didn't use
much stationary.Even though I simply displayed myself in
that, I was ultimately happy with the work I produced.
However, it would have been better if I had tried to
construct it in a different manner. Since I enjoyed it, the
brown hue of the leaves I attempted to create by
combining the primary colours was really decent.

13 December 2022

Today we met with the new sir of a different module.

Sir was really engaging, a little humorous, and
encouraged us to interact more. He asked us questions
like, "What is engineering?" and "What is science?" etc.,
so it wasn't exactly a dull one.

When Sir began to present, it went well because there

were many diverse responses and Sir and I had an
engaging chat. Then, as part of the task, Sir gave us a
briefing on a pen-like system and requested us to
thoroughly inspect it before recording our findings on
paper. Even though I believed that there was a purpose for
this activity, I was unable to fully describe all I saw, such
as how the mechanics of a pen work. Sir then went on to
explain that all of our activities were not correct from what
Sir believed them to be, and that we needed to observe a
system like a pen on top of everything we did.It was all
about the class today. Although Sir's class wasn't dull, I did
learn a very small amount from it. We were given the task
of selecting a system and writing an in-depth report about
it at the end of the semester. Because I was fascinated, I
immediately thought of a fan and decided to use that as
my method.

20 December 2022
Since there was no brain dump in this sir's pattern, the
class began right away with some questions from the sir
and responses from our fellow classmates.

Actually, he has complimented us, saying that our batch

was a little more engaged and active in providing answers
than the prior batch.

Sir went over the prior activity and how to complete it

properly once more. As an example, we need to take into
account the physical appearance features as well as the
parameters, rules that we can observe in systems, etc.
This is how we engineers need to consider any system
that is handed to us so that it reaches the customer while
providing them with complete happiness. Sir then forced
us to complete a different task involving paper. He told us
to cut the paper in half and fold it as much as we could
before setting it aside. continued to talk about the system's
details, including how physics played a role in it.Although it
was intriguing, he should have talked to us in a different
approach to make the point.
We were required to prepare a paper regarding the system
we selected and submit it later.

27 December 2022
Sir asked us to rewrite our activity in a chart because he
didn't think about the paper version.

And because we frequently write what we understand

rather than what is required, sir took the difficult step of
repeating himself and providing a brief explanation of the
assignment.
The assignment was presented to us as a chart, provided
little guidance on how to complete it or what to include in
our activity, and instructed us to do it in a conversation.
provided us with a system example and instructions on
how to do the assignment.

Sir and I had a discussion about a few subjects, including

asking and responding to questions. Sir then displayed
images of various spoon types and enquired about them in
detail.

03 January 2023

The lesson today moved quickly, just like the work I was
given. Due to a lack of time, I didn't do it correctly. The first
task assigned to us was to illustrate three stories, with
three drawings for each story. Despite the fact that we had
about 45 minutes to finish it, we weren't able to do so
because we took longer than that.
Making three stories out of a snake, a baby, and a pot was
the assignment.
Usually, people assume that a snake means the baby will
be terrified and all that, but my concept was different in
that I wanted to show that the snake was also listening to
music with the baby.
One narrative attempted to demonstrate how cruel
humans can be toward snakes by demonstrating how they
will kill snake babies in the belief that doing so won't affect
them. Third was not completed due to time constraints.
Sir offered a brief overview of science, engineering, and
technology and how they are related, such as how
engineering is developed from science and then
technology is formed as a result.
We can use door handles as an example. A rock is
science, but when it is moulded into the shape of a handle,
it becomes an engineered product and represents
technology.

The last module has come to a conclusion, and this new

one is about sketching and skills.

As one of the skills an engineer has to have, developing

our drawing abilities is the focus of this module, sir.
Sir's introduction and explanation of a few items to our
students came first.
Sir had not provided us with many instructions on how to
illustrate and represent our ideas on paper.
Like its paramount to finish the assignment for engineers,
but also to do the tasks requested by the user. Sir then
instructed us to create a 2D image of a chair that he had
previously demonstrated while simultaneously making us
watch a video on how to properly begin and finish the
drawing.
Since engineers utilise paper to communicate their ideas
and opinions, drawing ability is vital.
And it is through redesigning the designs that any design
may be made excellent.
I really cannot wait for the upcoming sessions.

17 January 2023
Another drawing-related job was assigned in today's
session.
Sir first gave us a brief overview of our previous task,
which involved designing 2D chairs.
Sir gave us a basic overview on how to begin drawing
correctly.
Artwork, an eye line and eye points is the first step in
beginning any drawing.
Then, using the remaining area, we must draw parallel
lines that must cross the eyeline, after which we must alter
the lines to finish our task.
Drawing box diagrams was today's class assignment. It
went on smoothly, just like in my drawing, but I wasn't sure
if it met Sir's requirements. That concludes the sessions
for today.

24 January 2023

Sir once more demonstrated how to draw using an eye

line in this lesson.

This was the third product sketching class, and it once

more started with an attendance assignment. The piece of
art was a tray-filled table. My drawings I sketched the
complete sketch in ten minutes starting from lines that
intersected the vanishing point, and it nearly matched the
image. Then I saw how drawing lines from the eye line
allows you to draw distinct faces in relation to one another.
I was astounded by the artist's flawless pen drawing as he
used a pen.
Even though it seemed challenging, it wasn't. I acquired
drawing skills from each viewpoint. I then learn how to
depict forces using circles and curves.
Finally, we were instructed to draw the mobile adapter
utilising the particles already laid down. I approached the
work with seriousness and took careful note of every
aspect of the adapter, including its curve, its USB port, its
hexagonal shape, and its steel rods. I finished it really
quickly, and when I showed Sir, he first instructed me on
how to draw the two cylinders before taking my paper. I
submitted the design knowing that I had mastered the skill
of product sketching to a respectable level.
