The profession that I am currently studying is civil engineering, it is a very productive and above all

passionate career for the people who study it. My entrance to the university was four and a half
years ago at the Universidad del Sinú located in the city of Monteria, at the moment I am in the
ninth semester of civil engineering. I began visiting works in the third semester applying the
knowledge acquired

As any university degree has good and bad experiences, each one of them has taught me to
improve every day. One of the best experiences I have had has been to start visiting construction
sites where I began to interact with the services that are used, the quality of the materials and
complying with the pertinent technical specifications and industrial safety standards as well as
trying to solve problems that arise in each of the works

Perhaps a problem would be the materials, regardless of their type, lately there have been failures
in the structures, which raises our doubts. These failures are caused by the materials used or
simply by a bad study!

In some cases, it is partly the problem of the materials chosen, either due to the durability of the
material, depending on the environment and the movements of the terrain, since they can
generate some major problem over the years. To solve these problems, a good planning and
detailed and precise monitoring in each of the stages of the work to correct any error immediately
