    Records were identified through three databases (Pubmed, BVS, and Scopus) with and without filters, yielding a total of 1,690 records without filters and 28 records with filters. After removing 9 duplicated records, 19 records remained for eligibility screening. Of these, 2 studies were ultimately included in a quantitative synthesis (meta-analysis) after excluding studies that did not include a meta-analysis, did not evaluate efficacy, lacked meta-analysis graphs, or involved animal studies.
