Assignment #2 Midterm Period

1. From the video "Ambisyon Natin 2040: The Life We Want" my key takeaways from
the video are these three wise and pleasant words to hear: the "Matatag, Maginhawa,
at Panatag na Buhay para sa Lahat". This development plan that was formulated by
our President is a great start for a great future that is heading to see us. As a citizen
of this country, we should not just do everything that we want and everything that we
adore, but we must also do the things that can make the lives of every individual
grow and make the country full of opportunities and development. Once a country
has a long-term goal for its sake, the citizens and the future will be brighter because
we are heading into a place where everything is straight into the path that we have
prepared for ourselves. If we want to experience growth and stable life, we must
foresee the future as a future with lots of opportunities and not just another day. We
should see every day as an innovative day and start planning for a better future for
our country and every individual.

2. Sec. Ernesto Pernia told us a lot about the plans and the success of the current
administration because of this development plan that they have developed. He told
us that they want to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and the
current administration can make the GDP grow by the first year of their term. But the
next year that they made a new target, it was not met and our economy started to
experience its downfall like a waterfall. The inflation is still rising before and hit the
highest inflation ever in the Philippines. With what our country experienced, the price
started to rise and other necessities and primary goods are not affordable anymore.
Thus, this country's economic growth is not stable, and now, it keeps on going down
because of the pandemic that is happening, and most of the business industry has
closed and gone into bankruptcy.

In the first year of this current administration, they do plan a lot and the citizens are
watching their move if they would be able to accomplish it. Corruption these days is
strongly destroying our country and economy even with this pandemic. The
pandemic that we are experiencing right now is also a hindrance to the growth that
they are expecting and making that development plan hard to achieve because of
those greedy politicians. We will truly progress as a country if there are no corrupt
and selfish politicians.
