functional analysis are used to design and optimized device and structure. Math provides
analytical skills required in information and communication. And is necessary for problem-
solving and data analyzation.

2. Banking and Commerce

refers to the managing of money. We are essentially “bankers” of our own lives. It
is vital that we devise a responsible budget to ensure that our needs are met without
overspending. Likewise, we must be aware of our spending habits so that we can take
care of our financial responsibilities. We are using mathematical concepts every day
when we utilize online banking to help us pay bills, transfer money and manage personal
accounts.

3. Physical Beauty
is a standard in our society. Our attraction to another person’s body increases if
that is symmetrical and in proportion. Likewise, if the face is in proportion, we are more
likely to notice it and find it beautiful. Adding the fact that people have different kinds of
shapes faces. These geometric shapes can include circle, triangle, square and even oval.

4. Biology
is the analyses and representations of living organisms to examine the systems
that govern structure, development, and behavior of and within biological systems.
Mathematics allows biologist to describe how molecules move in and out of cells and how
bacteria shuttle through blood vessel. Also, how drugs get broken down in the body when
taken especially if having an illness.

5. Astronomy
contains physics and calculus that is necessary to understand different
astronomical phenomena. The initial use of math in astronomy is counting entities,
sources, or object in the sky. Objects may be counted during daytime or night. An
example is the calculation of distance to an object in sky.
