East Carlina University

 
The ECU was established in 1907, it is the fourth largest public university of the state and is
situated in the Greenville region of North Carolina. ECU has an accreditation of the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges.

Campus

The university has 3 campuses in total, the Main Campus, Health Science Campus and West
Research Campus with 18 colleges in total. The campus has different centres to facilitate overall
development, Pirate Academic Success Centre, Speech Communication Centre etc. The
campuses have well stocked libraries and well-equipped labs.

Research

The university has allocated a fund of $120 million annually for the purpose of research and
innovation. The university is focusing on developing new methodologies in the filed of research
to make the resource allocation process feasible.

Programs and Academic Groups

The university has 80 plus departments in order to facilitate proper management. The university
has 1:18 faculty to student ratio and 1:1.05 ratio in terms of Undergraduate and Post Graduate
courses offered by university. ECU in addition provides military training to its students
promoting the participation of students in defence forces. The athletic division of ECU provides
opportunities of regular camps, intramural sports as well as formation of different clubs in order
to promote sports in students.

Student Life

The university has a good infrastructure in case of on-campus residence facilities, the university
provides the amenities like air conditioner, fridge wireless internet with free laundry service.
Adding on the campus provides students with dining venues ranging from Starbucks to subway.
