FSA DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Starting with the unit lying wall plate down on the bench with fan unit towards you.

1.) Remove leaf spring at the top of the drive by using a


flat bladed screwdriver to lift up the edges, then re-
move the BOP button by pressing it towards you.

2.) Proceed to remove the control PCB cover by using a


large, flat bladed screwdriver (see fig 1.0). Place the
screwdriver at the base of the PCB cover and de-
pressing the clip found beneath the cover. Then use
the screwdriver to lift the cover by inserting it under Figure 1.0
the cover, above the DC terminals (see fig 1.1). The
cover should now lift off.

3.) Remove earth-bonding point using a torx head screw-


driver. The earth-bonding point is situated at the top
left of the drive, above the BOP interface connector.

4.) Remove PCB by pulling on the BOP interface


connector. Be careful not to damage the connectors Figure 1.1
on the left

N.B. ENSURE ANTISTATIC HANDLING AND


STORAGE PRECAUTIONS ARE OBSERVED.

5.) Remove the fan by depressing the clip at the top


of the unit with a flat bladed screwdriver
(see fig 1.2) and pulling the fan and housing out. Figure 1.2
Remove fan connection from unit.

6.) Remove unit cover by opening the six tabs


joining the cover to the wall plate
(for an example see fig 1.3), the cover can then
be lifted off carefully.

To remove the unit from the wall plate

7.) Remove the two screws fastening the unit to the wall plate. These can be found in two of
the corners of the centre PCB diagonal from each other. The unit should then be able to
be lifted free from the wall plate. The plastic board holder in secured by another leaf
spring underneath the wall plate.
To reassemble the drive follow the above steps in reverse order.
All torx screws tightened to 1.4NM.
