FDG PET/CT PATIENT PREPARATION

1. Please fast 5 hours before appointment time, only can drink plain water during fasting period.

If you’re diabetic patient:

- Avoid sweet food & take LOW CARBOHYDRATE diet *ONE DAY* before the appointment.

- Drink plenty of plain water.

- Ensure GLUCOSE LEVEL reading is less than 10

2. Bring previous PET/CT, MRI, CT scan CDs/films and reports, blood tests & biopsy reports.

(ONLY if any done in OTHER hospitals)

3. Inform us if you're scheduled for any other procedures (blood test/other scans) on the same day.

4. This procedure may take at least 3 hours. There may be a delay due to drug supply problem.

5. Please keep a distance from pregnant ladies & children under 12 years old for 8 hours after the scan.

6. If you are taking steroid medicine (Prednisolone/Hydrocort/Dexamethasone), please stop one day
before the scan.

请在预约时间前的5個小时禁食，禁食期间只允許喝白开水。

如果您是糖尿病患者：

- 請在预约前一天避免攝取甜食與過多的碳水化合物饮食。

- 多飲用白开水。

- 确保血糖水平指數低于< 10以下。

2. 請帶上以往任何的PET/CT、MRI、CT 掃描報告以及光盤(CD)、或驗血，活檢(Biopsy)報告。

（如有履行在其他醫院，請帶上報告）

3. 如果您還有任何程序在同一天進行，（驗血/其他掃描等等），請您通知我們。

4. 此掃描過程需要至少 3 小時。 由於藥物供應的問題，掃描程序隨時會導致延遲。

5. 掃描後的8小時內請與孕婦及12歲以下兒童保持至少2厘米距離。

6. 如果您正在服用含類固醇的藥物，如: (Prednisolone/Hydrocort/Dexamethasone)，請盡量在掃描
前一天停止服用。
