Outside Yellow Edge (5.5 x 7.75) Bleed Size: 5 3/4 x 8 Outside Red Edge (5.75 x 8) Pink area Bleed: 1/8 inch extra space on each side of the document that will be trimmed off, allowing an image to bleed off the page. Yellow area Margin: The area of the page that is common to not contain copy or image unless there is bleed. Any copy or image that should not bleed by design should not extend to this area. White area Live area: The area of the page that is guaranteed not to be trimmed off. All copy and images important to your document should fall with in this area. If you are creating the standard comic book, this area is a 1/4 white margin Trim Marks: The lines that indicate the trim (or fold) of a document. This template may be opened in either Acrobat, Illustrator or Photoshop and used as you need it. You can also “Place” it in any program to use as a template.
