Type C:

2. Disassembly
1. Clean interface area of DBV using proper degrease materials and compressed air for
drying

2. Type A/B:
Detach low-pressure connection. Collect any escaping fuel.

3. Loosen the DBV using a commercial wrench (WAF dependent on DBV-Type) and unscrew
manually.

4. If DBV is used with a gasket remove the gasket with proper tools

5. Clean the thread and the sealing surface of the rail

6. Close the rail orifice using a plastic cap after removing the DBV (to protect the high pressure
system from dust and dirt).

3. Preparation for assembly

3.1 Interface inspection

Inspect thread and sealing surfaces of the DBV and the rail concerning any damages. Only
concentric grooves are allowed. No cuts in radial direction are tolerable.

In Terms of Reuse:

DBV Type A/B with gasket:

The gasket has to be replaced. “Stick“ new gasket into rail by using lubricant Ft1v27 in order to
avoid tilting of the gasket.

3.2 Lubrication
Lubricate thread and bite edge using lubricant Ft1v27.
Only apply a thin lubrication film – no lubricant allowed in bore at hp-side!

4. Assembly
0. Remove the plastic cap from the rail orifice.

1. Screw in the DBV manually.

2. Tighten the DBV using a commercial torque-wrench according to Table 1.

3. Type A/B: Assemble low pressure connection (see instructions of supplier).

DBV Type A / C without gasket Ft1v27 100Nm +/- 5Nm
DBV Type A / B / D with gasket Ft1v27 100Nm +/- 5Nm
DBV Type B / D without gasket Ft1v27 65Nm +/- 4Nm
