OVERVIEW
VIPER KING OF THE MOUNTAIN 2023 will be returning once more on 18 February 2023 to
the Grand Ion Delemen Hotel in Genting Highlands.
Brace yourself for the course route of 7KM and 12 obstacles alongside natural elements of mist, cold
temperature, wind and high altitude at 6,000 feet above sea level, the highest points of Genting
Highlands.
There are no wet obstacles and therefore no changing area or showers. There will be Drink and First Aid
Stations along the course route.

Once parking is full, participants will be advised to park at First World Hotel and take the shuttle
bus provided. Plan ahead with team members to carpool.

REGISTRATION
Check-in and Register 60 minutes before your Start Time.
Upon registration, participants will be given two wristbands. One will grant you entry into
the Start Line and a second for T-shirt collection after nishing the course. You may not
change the T-shirt at the collection point.
If you MISS your Start Time you will be transferred to the last wave at 10:30AM.
Cut-off times for obstacles are at 12:30PM. At cut-off time, you will no longer be able to attempt
any obstacles, you will run directly to the nish line to collect your nisher T-shirt and medal.

Weather

If caught out at the Course with thunder and lightning, here are a few simple Rules to remember:
1) Avoid small shelter such as tents or tall structures including trees and open areas.
2) Take cover under lower uniform trees or nearby substantial buildings.
3) Apply the 30:30 Rule. Count the time from the lightning strike to its accompanying thunder. If less
than 30 seconds the lightning is less than 10KM away and you need to immediately go to a safer
place. Wait 30 minutes after the last thunder clap before continuing the Course.
4) Follow the instructions of the obstacle or route marshals. If required, participants will be directed
back to the festival area due to safety.
MEDICAL
If the participant is experiencing dizziness, loss of focus, or irregular heartbeat please consult
the Medical Staff nearby.
Participants are advised to monitor their body temperature, heartbeat and general well being
to avoid any untoward medical situations.
The Medical Services offered during the event are for serious cases of injuries and medical
emergencies. They will not prioritise any cases of:
- Muscle cramps
- Minor cuts & bruises
- Minor sprains & strains
All those mentioned above are not medical emergencies.
