announce the San Francisco State University,
USA summer program for the year 2023
under the MOU 2022-25 with San
Francisco State University and Kadi Sarva
Vishwavidyalaya.

Summer Program Important Information:

• Tentative Dates: 6th July till 30th July 2023
• Capacity: Maximum 25 students (across the
globe)

• Last day of confirmation: 10th December

• Customized Summer Program (July
2023) by SF State University is
scheduled in San Francisco. A
distinctive residential Summer
Program of 25 Days in July 2023, an
international short course with
multicultural exposure and global
empowerment for our University
students.
• The certificate course would include
sessions on Data Analysis with
Computer Applications. Students will
get SF State official Certificate of
Completion with transcript for Data
Analysis with Computer Applications.
• Eligible students: Computer Engineering,
computer sciences, B.E. IT, B.Sc. IT, M.Sc.
IT, BCA, MCA, BCA/ MCA (integrated) ,
Diploma in Computer Engineering (3rd
year).
• IELTS: Good English Proficiency is
compulsory. DiR May suggest the selected/
interested students to take the IELTS test
if needed. (Expected bands to achieve for
visas is 5.5).
• All the interested students must
contact the respective principals and
short-listed candidate names with
details are to be sent to ‘Department
of International Relations by SVKM’ by
the principals as, on or before 3rd
December 2022, Saturday.
• All interested students’ queries will be

• The Tentative cost of the entire

program is estimated to be ₹5,10,000
per student.

Program Dates

1. November - December 2022: Registration (25 admissions - first come

basis)
2. By 20 January 2023 - Online apply to SF State University for DS-2019 (J-1
visa invitation). No Application Fee.
3. February - March 2023 - Visa processing, application to US Embassy with
fees at actual.
4. April - May 2023: Expected Visa Interviews at US Embassy
5. Upon receiving Visa: Pay Program Fee to SFSU, Buy flight tickets &
Insurance
6. July 6: Departure (Flight) from India & Arrival at San Francisco
7. July 7 to 27: Classes and field activities in San Francisco
8. July 28 to 30: Free for personal sightseeing, moving out of campus housing
and flying back to India.

Program Fee

➢ Academic Program fee: $1,850 (including course instruction and in program

activities)
➢ Double/triple occupancy housing fee plus two meals/day on campus:
around $2,100 (If SF State does not provide summer meals plan for
students, we will charge $ 1,500 for housing fee)
➢ The total fee students will pay to SF State: $3,950 (including program
fee, housing fee and two meals per day during program dates) or $3,350
(includingprogram fee, housing fee)

Program Payment Schedule

➢ Selected students must deposit a cheque of ₹ 50,000 in favour of the

"Department of International Relations by SVKM" as a part of the
registration amount that shall cover visa filing and interviews. And NO
REFUND is possible out of this.
➢ The course fee of US$ 3,950 is payable in May - June 2023 after granting of
a J-1 visa and no refund would be possible once paid. The visa may be valid
for around 60 days for 25 days program)

➢ US Visa Processing and Appointment fee to US Embassy: US$ 160 (₹

➢ US Embassy J-1 SEVIS fee to US Embassy: US$ 220 (₹ 18,700)
➢ Registration, Visa filing, and Counseling fees to be paid to "Study in USA": ₹

➢ Program fee payable to SF State University: US$ 3,950 (₹ 3,35,750) -
payable after Visa approval
➢ Delhi to SFO round trip Flight Ticket: ₹ 1,20,000 (expected)
➢ Ahmedabad to Delhi round trip Flight Ticket: ₹ 7,000 (expected)
➢ Travel Insurance: ₹ 5,000
Conversion of US$ is calculated @ rate of ₹ 85 for 1 US$)

Program Fee Includes

✓ DS-2019 for J-1 visa

✓ Campus housing, One three-credit SF State course instruction, Welcome
orientation, Bay Cruise activities, San Francisco City Municipal public
transportation pass and Silicon Valley study trips.
✓ i-Learn class shell for asynchronous learning. Presentations, session
recordings and additional resources.
✓ Certificate of Completion with SF State official transcript for DS 312 Data
Analysis with Computer Applications (Units: 3, Sessions: 15)
