 Develops software solutions by examining information requirements, consulting with users, and
investigating how software systems operate, how data is used, and how work is done.
 Investigates potential software-related issues.
 Follows the lifecycle of software development .
 Develops documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code to
demonstrate and document solutions.
 Creates and designs system specifications, standards, and programming in order to prepare and
install software solutions.
 Conducts a software systems analysis and suggests modifying policies and procedures to enhance
operations.
 Obtains the information needed from vendors, makes purchase recommendations, tests the
software products, and licenses the software.
 Gather, examine, and summarize data on software development.
