DO’S & DON’TS OF PU FLOORING

1. Clean floor with detergent and warm water using soft bristles to avoid scratches. Consult
cleaning equipment manufacturing agency before deploying.
2. In case of Spillage of chemicals/liquids on the floor, clean immediately and wash with
detergent and water subsequently.
3. Don’t use stretchers with imbalanced wheels. Wheels should have free movement. Regular
maintenance of the stretcher shall be carried out.
4. Replace all metal wheels (if any) to nylon / rubber wheels, as it will lead to scoring and
marking on the floor.
 NOTE: Black rubber wheel leaves marking on the floor.
5. Do not drag heavy objects on the floor, as it will lead to scratches/damages. Use trolleys with
rollers for transporting heavy objects.
6. Use suitable mats underneath heavy objects on the floor.
7. Do not drop sharp and heavy objects on the floor, as it will damage the floor.
8. Polyurethane floor systems are formulated to maximise the mechanical and chemical
resistance properties and are discoloured by ultraviolet light and few concentrated
chemicals leading to a “yellowing effect”. This yellowing effect is dependent upon the
amount of UV exposure and concentration of chemicals both in terms of intensity and time
and is more noticeable with lighter coloured floors. However, the yellowing effect will not
deter the quality of the flooring.
9. R 70 CP is resistant to wide range of liquids and chemicals (chart attached). Chemical
spillages should always be wiped up as quickly as possible and not be allowed to concentrate
up by evaporation.
10. In case of any damages to the floor, get it rectified immediately to prevent further
deterioration due to seepage of water / fluids through the damaged areas.
