2. INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT

a. Purpose

The project “Moon Flower shop” is totally built in PHP that is server side scripting
language use to develop modern website. It is modern web programming tool to create
server side web pages. The project is based on online flower shop. It provides user the
ease to choose their choice of flowers online.

In this Project we are using PHP 5.0 as Server Side scripting language, MySQL as
Database for storing the information and CSS, JavaScript,HTML,JQuery to add develop
dynamic End-User Interface.

Flower shop helps the people busy in their jobs and other office or home based work to
order online flowers. The main benefit is that the service is home delivered. Users can
view different types of flowers categorized according to color, type, occasion, etc.
Through this website users can easily order online flowers or call at the contact numbers
given on the website. They can also leave their reviews so that the admin of the website
can timely update and manage the website.

Users can contact admin at any time either through online message or phone. So the
website is all about helping users get easy access to the services

b. Overview

Flower shop is an online flower project developed in PHP and designed using
HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap. . It provides online delivery of flower to the
customers. In this project, we provide various categories of the flower like Birthday
flowers, Wedding flowers, Valentine flowers, Party flowers, Flowers bucket, Callas
flowers , etc. so that users can easily search the website for their required flowers.
Customers can add their choice of flowers to the cart and order them through the
website. The project follows the cash on delivery system. The user can also view
latest offers and deals on the website like discount on flowers and apply those
 discounts. The project also displays customer reviews on the website so that new
users can gain trust in the website.

c. Environmental Characteristics

The project is developed in PHP Language and designed in HTML, CSS3 and
Bootstrap. MySQL database is used as backend for storing data.

User Interface

User is the surfer on this site. He can check all the types of flowers on this site. He can
also order for a particular flower like rose, tulips, orchids, etc. through the website. He
can also select the flowers and add them to cart and then order them by filling their
address and contact information on the website.

If he want to ask any query then he or she can ask question on this site. Users can view
complete information about all the services available. User can also give any suggestion
or enquiry about the website or any service.

Apart from this, if still users have any doubts then they can contact and leave a message
for the admin through this website. Users can view testimonials on the website which
helps them to see other users review about the services provided by the company.

Admin Interface

Admin is the main key in this project. He can add different type of flowers on the site. He
can also add exciting new offers to attract more customers on the site.

He can add new flowers at any time. He or she can reply for the feedback to the user.
Admin can add complete information about a particular flower. Admin will receive user
orders and can complete them according to the needs.

Administrator has the rights of adding new type of category of flowers to the site and
modifications in the data entered earlier can also be done by the administrator.
Administrator operates on a Graphical Interface and that Interface is further connected by
this module.

All actions like Uploading Content, Altering, Feedback, Sending Messages, Adding,
Updating or Deleting of content is handle by this module.

Admin can also view queries of the users. Admin can add testimonials on the website.
It consists of following forms-

 Login form : Consists of username and password to be entered by the admin for
authentication to access the admin panel.
 Edit form: Admin can edit any information.

d. Objective of the Project

 Provides the searching facilities based on various factors such as type of
flower, color of flower, occasion to use flowers, etc.
 It tracks all the information of the flowers available at the shop.
 Manage the information of Clients.
 Shows the customers reviews.
 Editing, adding and updating of Records is improved which results in proper
resource management of Client data.

3. Goals of Implementation

The project Flower Shop is implemented to help users order flower online and get them
on time. Following are the goals of implementation for this project:

 Online Flower project is developed for the ease of customers who want Flower
immediately.
 Explain and properly mention the description about the flowers.
 Demonstrate appropriate professional behavior and comply with all state and local
laws related to flower shop.
 Discuss various offers and discounts available at the shop.
  Demonstrate information about various types of flowers, their colors and their
need according to specific occasion.
 Display various offers and discounts on flowers.
 Show information about the shop.

The function what the system do is:

 Store Flowers data

 Search flower data effectively as user can easily search for a flower by its
name or use or color.
 Update, delete and add flower information
 Prepare order of flowers
 Gives navigation and information about flower shop
 Changing login password
 Gives information about various types of flowers and their need.
 Stores all the information about the flower like color, occasion and type of
flower.
