Some fantastic ideas and skills we have learned and practice

this month:

Being back in the classroom again has been quite exciting. The
students had a good time in class and are glad to see their friends
again. At the moment, our efforts are focused at getting first-
graders ready for the classroom. So far, working with kids has
been an exciting journey, and we've really enjoyed contributing to
their development and assisting them in expanding their horizons.
For our math lessons, we have been reading, spelling, and
counting from 1 to 19 in order to build our mathematical
knowledge. Comparing and contrasting two-dimensional forms by
highlighting their shared and unique features. Our study of
science includes instruction on both the responsible use and
preservation of the world's natural resources. The lessons on
reduce, reuse, and recycling are popular with the students. The
usage of disposable things and other threats to the environment
will be addressed in the future thanks to their efforts, and I have
no doubt that all of them will do something about it. A new unit
on matter was introduced this week. Any substance may be
classified as matter, and there are three distinct types of matter:
solid, liquid, and gas. In LA. This week, we explored the
discovering process via creativity in the elements. They were all
too eager to see what unfolded and give feedback to their
friends. The HFW are learning the alphabet, blending, reading,
and creating sentences.

What Thao Linh excelled in:

She understands the distinction between a side and a corner in mathematics. Furthermore, understands
that a corner and a vertex are the same thing. She can recognize the total number of counters in a ten
frame up to 20. She can draw pictures, depict a number in ten frames, and name numbers.
She compares well in science. She can pick up objects and compare what is the same and what is different
based on color, size, form, and texture. She can also sort forms by looking at labels and placing items in the
appropriate basket, as well as identify the states of matter with objects in the class.
She understands the inquiry terms we use in class in LA. These are : who, what, why, when, and where
questions. She is aware of these and can insert the appropriate one into each statement. She recognizes
numerous HFW that are with, now, my, what, where, coming, so, many, of, soon, and for. She can identify
high-frequency words among others and arrange them in the correct sentence, and she is also quite adept
at blending and spelling. Her pronounciation is excellent. This is evident when she reads a story.

Practice at home:

Reading, spelling, writing, and sentence formation are all skills that parents may foster in their children.
Thank you for taking the time to practice maths and counting skills, as well as your ability to write the
numbers 1 through 20 correctly. Please keep working on blending CVC words with short a, e, i, o and u
to match phrases containing missing HFW. Practising present tense (happening now) their ordinary
conversational use of past tense (it has already happened) and future tense (it is going to happen) will
improve.

Behavior or something special:

Thao Linh listens well and shares ideas frequently. She transitions easily between classroom
activities and is not a distraction to others. She has such a positive attitude about school and
enjoys learning with her friends. She is a smart girl who has made great progress in class. She has
built a lot of confidence. She is raising her voice and is always excited to take part in learning
games. Well done Thao Linh, I am very proud of you!

Friendly greetings from the Monkey 2 Team
