FRIENDSHIP

Paragraph answers :

1) How did Vetri lose his properties?

Vetri was once a successful businessman in Coimbatore. His Vetri Constructions was a
leading Construction Company. After his father’s death, his brothers demanded to split the
wealth, as they wanted to start their business separately. From then on, Vetri found it difficult
to establish his business. He took loans to run his Company, but he could not pay the loan,
so he sold all his properties.

2) What happened when Vetri met Asif?

When Vetri reached Asif’s office, he went inside to meet him. Asif saw him through the
CCTV camera and came out of his cabin to welcome him. They discussed their school days
and the fun they had. Later Asif took Vetri to his house for lunch. He stayed till evening
spending time with Asif’s family and Asif dropped him at the railway station.

3) How did Asif show his friendship?

When Asif met Vetri at his office he treated him well and made him feel comfortable at
his house. Two days later, Asif surprised Vetri by offering him a project to work on and invited
him to Chennai. This was a pleasant shock to Vetri who was wanting to approach Asif for
help but did not mention about it to Asif. Asif proved his true friendship by helping him at the
right time.

1) How should we treat a flowering plant and true friendship?

The poet compares planting flowers to maintaining a friendship, because both need
care, kindness and love to blossom. A plant needs nurturing and a lot of attention to
grow and give fruit likewise friendship also requires a lot of giving, understanding and
sincerity to grow strong.

2) What is the importance of human beings on earth?

Every human being is unique. He/She deserves to be respected. When one is

forgotten by the other, it makes him feel sad. Every person makes a difference in life
and his presence is needed. We must never put anyone to shame and no has the
authority to make others feel bad. We must respect and treat everyone well and be
considerate towards others.

A HOMELESS MAN AND HIS FRIENDS

1) Describe the activities of the homeless person and his companions.

The homeless person Cesar, sacrifices his own food to feed the stray dogs
around him. When he required emergency treatment, his kindness came back to
home, like a boomerang,. Four concerned dogs showed up at the entrance of the
hospital and were waiting for Cesar. They were anxious about their homeless master’s
health. Ceaser hand by his side the best Companions and the exchange of love,
affection, warmth and understanding.
