GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES

Region: Middle East

Country: Iran

Iran, officially the Islamic Republic of Iran and also called Persia, is a
country in Western Asia. It is bordered by Iraq and Turkey to the west, by
Azerbaijan and Armenia to the northwest, by the  Caspian
Sea and Turkmenistan to the north, by Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east,
and by the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf to the south. It covers an area
of 1,648,195 km2 (636,372 sq mi), making it the fourth-largest country
entirely in Asia and the second-largest country in Western Asia behind Saudi
Arabia.

No one from my family or friends ever lived here but I have read in books
and have seen foreigners going to Iran. All of them say that this country is
full of rich history and colourful culture. It is a major Muslim
country. Many important historic personalities lived here and
is home to wonderful museums.

Tourism is not the only way to explore more about this

country. There are various other sources such as internet
websites and documents or books where this country is
clearly explained and showed. History books give a great
place to Iran.

In this country, I am not much clear about good working fields

but I am aware of the rich history of this place so I would love to work in a
research centre or a museum where I would know what to do.
