Social movements

This question made me reflect for weeks, since it seems difficult to answer because in a

certain way I consider that theater is always related to social causes as it is made up of

stories about us, beings who inevitably live in society and relate to each other. However, I

believe that each actor will lean towards different causes, according to his experiences,

motivations and contexts.

In a society as complex as ours, art is our grounding cable with our condition as human

beings. It does not seem to me that it has to be instructive or always have a moral, but I

think that he should always appeal to move the sensitive fibers of the spectators and ensure

that people do not leave the theater without undergoing a transformation in any way.

Personally, the social causes that touch me the most deeply are about mental health,

because I believe that the theater can tell the stories regarding this in a respectful and

humanized way, where it is not necessary to have a position of whether it is right or wrong,

but rather to make those who need it feel hope to see some light and to make the world

understand a little more about these issues every day.

It seems to me that this comes from the fact that theater really made me find and be myself,

but before this I was an emotionally unstable person and I consider that talking about these

issues is a way to better understand myself and be able to share it, as well as seeing myself

reflected and embraced.
