Localization Engineer

SeproTec Multilingual Solutions (SeproTec) is a leading company in the translation and interpreting
sector. The company was born in 1989 with the aim of covering the demand for multilingual services
brought on by an increasingly globalized society with growing language needs. The idea was to
support our clients throughout their international expansion process and tailor their communication
strategies to different languages and to each one of their markets.

SeproTec, ranked among the Top 25 Language Service Companies in the world (The Slator 2020
Language Service Provider Index), is searching for a motivated, English speaker, Localization Engineer
for its Madrid or Krakow offices with remote work possibilities.

To carry out this task, the Localization Engineer will have to:

• Translation memories creation, maintenance and update.

• Termbases creation, maintenance and update.
• Project analysis performance.
• File conversion and preparation for CAT usage (all file types: InDesign, Illustrator, XML,
properties, yaml, etc.).
• Technical QA.
• Final files creation (clean-up).
• Troubleshooting and support for Project Managers and Translators (Office, CAT tools,
Translation-related software).
• Documentation in video and text format.
• CAT tools, QA and Office trainings for internal teams.
• New software and solutions research.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Localization Engineering or Program/Project

Management required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year of localization engineering experience.
• High level of both spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of a second language would be a great asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in Trados Studio or any other CAT tool.
• General knowledge of leading CAT tools and understanding CAT tools concepts.

Highly valued:

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.

• Ability to learn new programs and work methods.
• Experience in a similar role within the translation industry.
• Basic knowledge of VBA and Regex.
 • Basic knowledge of: HTML, XML, CSS, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, MySQL…
