Introduction

Tulcan Energy Resources Ltd is an independent oil trading company

actively involved in the distribution of Petroleum products include
PMS, AGO, DPK, ATK, LPFO, LPG and other related hydrocarbons.

The company is involved in the full supply & trading of bulk oil
shipments via marine operations within the West African coastal
axis. Tulcan Energy Resources Limited under the Corporate Affairs
Commission registration was also empowered to carry out activities
in the areas of Exploration & Production. This is to enable us the
opportunity of creating a model business in the various segments of
Oil and Gas Industry outside the downstream activities being
currently engaged in by our Company.

The downstream oil trading market in Nigeria has grown over the last
few years and has much more potential for growth if the policies
being canvassed, such as full deregulation, are implemented. Unlike
in the past, Nigerian companies are playing larger roles and gaining
prominence in performance and growth in the competitive and
highly technical energy sector.

At TULCAN ENERGY RESOURCES LIMITED we understand that the

Brief on Tulcan Energy Resources Ltd
The company was incorporated in Nigeria in June 3, 2011 as a
wholly owned indigenous company registered under the
Corporate Affairs Commission (RC 957754) Although, Tulcan
Energy Resources Limited as a legal entity is relatively new in
the upstream area of oil and gas business, our core technical
partners have been in the Oil and Gas business in various
capacities for several years, the experience we plan to share
and transfer to our indigenous employees.
Tulcan Energy Resources Limited as a Nigerian Trading
Company is unique because of its partnership with foreign
trading companies, whose core activities are crude oil and
product trading with a geographical emphasis on Africa,
Middle East and the Indian Ocean Islands.
Tulcan Energy Resources Limited trade cargos of refined
petroleum products such as AGO, PMS, LPFO, ATK, DPK, LPG
and lubricating Oil and Gas on a joint venture basis, sharing
profits. These cargos are sold to various traders and marketers
in the downstream market on an STS basis.
Also, Tulcan Energy Resources Limited on its own delivers
cargos to tanks, as specified by buyers which consist mainly of
Major Marketers and some big independent marketers.
In the last 12 months, Tulcan Energy Resources Limited has
supplied over 150,000 Metric tonnes of Gasoline and Gas-oil
to the Nigerian Market. In some period, Tulcan Energy
Resources Limited delivered over 50,000 MT of product to
shore tanks for its clients as can be seen below.
We are currently in the process of building a bulk storage
facility for petroleum products in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
This will greatly enhance our capacity as a trading company.

Market Trend and Trade Feasibility -

Tulcan Energy Resources is a reputable Nigerian Oil and Gas company that

focuses on all aspects of the Oil sector such as the upstream, midstream and

downstream. Procurement and equipment leasing are viable and credible

ventures of our upstream services. We are recognised for our piping construction,

design and development, as well as efficient transportation of crude and storage.

It is inexorable to state that we are also swift with the supplies of petroleum

products to end-users such as PMS, DPK, AGO etc.

Marine Services and Equipment -

We are into the provision of Barges, Anchor Handling vessels, Tugboats, Crew

Boats and state-of-the-art supply vessels to provide specialized and general

services in support of operations in the oil industry. Such services include the

provision of survey Boats, Crew Boats, Work Boat, Chase Boats, and Diving

Support Boat. The company also specializes in ownership and operation of fast

support intervention vessels (FSIV) as the deep sea water extension of Nigeria Oil

exploration dictates the need for such vessels. Supporting the oil and gas industry

in the quest to find and develop new offshore energy resources. In addition to

transporting drilling materials, supplies and personnel to offshore facilities, we

move and position drilling structures. With a modern and technologically

advanced fleet, we provide a full range of services, even in the most difficult

Distribution Planning & Storage -

At Tulcan Energy, we have experts and consultants who can optimise business

operations using tactical planning tools for clients' entire supply chain. Goods and

products flow daily from supplier to manufacturer, manufacturer to distributor

and finally from distributor to customers. It is imperative to plan, implement and

control the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related

Sourcing & Importation -
There is always the need to obtain some raw material and other products not locally
produced. Tulcan has the appropriate mechanisms to legally source for products and
services from the international markets leveraging on the working relationships with
its partners.

International Trade Administration -

With support from the appropriate agencies, Tulcan is involved in the promotion and
distribution of non-agricultural goods and merchandise, especially in international
markets.

Trucking
Tulcan Energy Resources has access to well-conditioned heavy-duty trucks, which are
readily available to transport products to every part of the country. These trucks have
sophisticated tracking systems which enables us gain information of their location at
any particular point in time.

Products
Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) also known as diesel is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons
produced by mixing fractions obtained from the distillation of crude oil with brand-
specific additives to improve performance. AGO is ideal for road vehicles (trucks, buses,
vans, and cars) powered by diesel engines. It can also be used to power generators.

Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)

Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is one of the products of fractional distillation of
petroleum. PMS is mainly used as a fuel for light road vehicles (cars, motorbikes and
small vans).PMS (gasoline) or 'petrol' has a little different composition and chemical
characteristics which is used for the adulteration of the product.

Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO)

Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO) is one of the products in the fractional distillation of crude oil.
Fuel oil is used to run broilers in many industries especially textile and cement
manufacturing industries.

Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK)

Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK) kerosene is a very versatile product. When in a very pure
state and is used to power jet-engine aircraft (jet-fuel) and some rockets, it is known as
Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK). It is also used as a domestic fuel for lamps, stoves,
cookers, and the likes, when the product can be adapted for use for both purposes, it is
known as Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK).

Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a gas liquefied by compression, consisting of flammable
hydrocarbons, as propane and butane.LPG is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases
used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles, and increasingly replacing
chlorofluorocarbons as an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant to reduce damage to the
ozone lay.

Lubricating Oil and Greases

Lubricating Oil and Greases lubricating grease consists of base oil, performance additives
and a thickener which forms a matrix that retains the oil in a semisolid state. Most
grease thickeners are soaps, i.e. lithium, calcium, or aluminium soap. Grease is the most
widely used lubricant for roller bearings and low velocity applications.

process management. He has a first degree in Industrial Chemistry and Masters in
Business Administration from LAUTech. He is also a member of the board of

Larry Gbadebo
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - He has over 20 years experience in the downstream sector
of the Nigeria oil industry. During this time he has handled responsibilities that span
from operation, bridging, coordination to sales and marketing. He has Masters in
