Proposed new late-night food quarter

TOPIC : OLD HOUSE WILL BE DEMOLISHED FOR A NEW FOOD BUSINESS. DATE : SATURDAY 7 AUGUST

The purpose of this report is to give an account of important points of view of different institutions on the
construction scheme of a new night food neighborhood in Luna Park where it is only considered a residential and
non-commercial area. Around forty people attended the meeting between neighbors and representatives of
institutions. The report summarizes some of the main arguments presented during the meeting and concludes with
some recommendations.

Historian Márquez began the meeting by summarizing some of the reasons why he was opposed. He pointed out
that this colonial house is 150 years old and could be considered cultural heritage. Mr. García, who represented the
construction company, argued that it would not be necessary to demolish it, on the contrary it needs to be
restored.

According to this issue, the majority of the local residents who attended agreed with keeping the housing in the
neighborhood because of its history. Mr. Vidal, a councilor in our neighborhood, also recalled that having a fast food
there, is not a good idea because it would be noisy and would bring unrest in the neighborhood.

In conclusion, it was evident that there are quite a lot positive arguments to keep it in place. I would recommend a
television report on the architecture of the interior of the house. It could be wonderful to have something
representative in our community.
