ube chiffon cake

ingredients:
Dry ingredients:
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup ube powder ( CRV )
1/2 tsp salt
Wet ingredients:
1/4 cup oil ( corn oil is recommended)
1/2 cup milk (evap)
3 eggyolks
1/2 tsp ube flavoring ( mccormick)
For the meringue:
4 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven at 170C


Start baking at 150C for 1 hour, 170C for 30 minutes
Baine Marie Method
If you are using a taller pan, for example size 5x4 additional bakiing of 30
minutes or depending on your oven. Check your cake only after 1 hour and 30
minutes baking.
If you do not like to use baine marie method bake at 170C at 45 minutes to an hour.
However the result of the cake will not be as moisty.
