20 Ways to Incorporate the Outdoors… In

1. Buy some plants: The best way to incorporate the outdoors into your house is to
buy some colorful flora that will spice up your house and add some life into it.
2. Make moss art: A new trendy way of adding life into your house is to buy a few
different colors of moss, and spread it around your house in containers, or just as
a coaster for your drink.
3. Build a tiny ecosystem: Buy a fishtank, fill it with some dirt and tiny logs, and add
a few animals and insects into it. It’s easy to build, and almost fully self-sufficient
after you set it up.
4. Get a pet: Any type of pet will make your house feel that much more alive and
like the outdoors. A cat, dog, fish, rabbit, or anything else you can think of will
bring you joy as well as a more outdoorsy home.
5. Pay attention to your surroundings too: Decorating the inside of your house isn’t
the only way to make it more green. You should also plant small trees, flowers, or
small shrubs around your home in places where you can always be reminded of
them.
6. Put up bird feeders: Bird feeders can attract birds, but also other creatures
including squirrels, mice, rogue cats, and more. They can be fun to watch while
you’re drinking your morning coffee, or on a rainy day with some hot chocolate.
7. Cannddlleeess: Find some of the best outdoors smelling candles at your local
candle shop. Grab the ocean breeze scent or the cool mountain trail scent,
whichever pleases your nose the most.
8. DIY furniture: Do you have a porch? If you do, find a nice log and trim it up to
make a not-so-comfortable (but cool looking) bench to sit on whenever you’re
wanting some ‘log’ time. You could even make your bar stools from logs and
cover them with some moss from the previous tip!
9. Get an infuser: If you can’t seem to find the right candle, try an infuser. All it
takes is some water and a few drops of any scent you want. This little detail will
add a little spice, or sweet, to the air in your home.
10. Start an indoors gardening project: This can be anywhere from a small area in
your bedroom with a few plants in it, all the way to a couple Garden Towers filled
to the brim with plenty of different edible plants. You can get creative with where
you place these small gardens around your home, and can even put a few outside
as well.
