Self-Study Log

Question 1. Think about your English classes. What is easy for you in this course? What
do you like most? Write 2-3 sentences.

In English lessons, I prefer reading lessons and grammar lessons. Because I can quickly
understand these lessons and use them to develop my language. I can also answer all
questions in reading and grammar.

Question 2. Think about one problem that you have in your English class in reading,
speaking, listening or writing. Write 2-3 sentences to describe your problem.

In the English course, I have difficulties with some skills such as listening and speaking.

Listening: I can't hear and understand all the words and phrases I hear in movies and some
people.

Speaking: I can't speak well because when I want to talk I can't remember the right words
and phrases. Also sometimes, I can't distinguish between words.

Find some online or paper activity that will help you to solve your problem from Question 2. For any activity
you choose, you will need to have some evidence, i.e. a piece of your work. This step is very
important! Please think carefully about your evidence. It should be a piece of YOUR work NOT just a
picture of the book or screenshot of some page.

Question 3. Describe your activity. What did you do? What did you use? Give as many
details as possible. If you used a website, give the address. Describe all the steps you did.

 These books were used to develop listening and speaking skills. I also answered all
the listening activities by listening to the audio clip attached to the book. And about
speaking, I read the book and then memorized the important phrases in speaking. In
the book, there are all the important phrases in daily life.

Question 4. Was it easy? Was it difficult? What was difficult? Did it help you to solve the
problem from Question 2?

Yes, it was easy because the ways I used suited me well. I can understand it and further
develop skills. As the books I used to solve my problem are very good because they are
detailed explanation and easy ways to learn.
