Chemistry tends to focus on the properties of substances and the interactions between different
types of matter, particularly reactions that involve electrons. Physics tends to focus more on the
nuclear part of the atom, as well as the subatomic realm.

The periodic table is a table that presents all the chemical elements that exist ordered according to
their physical properties. It was designed by the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869.

Elements are ordered by their atomic number, and the atomic number increases as you move to
the right and down the table. It is also observed that the atomic mass of each element increases as
you move.

5) Why should people study Chemistry?

It is very important for us people to know chemistry since it helps us to understand many of the
things that surround us and how it also facilitates the understanding of many more sciences and
likewise to be able to advance in many more sciences that come to the future.
