 Definition of Inter-sectoral and intra-sectoral strategies in
health
 Inter-sectoral:
It is not only the execution or implementation of policies together but also
the formulation, monitoring, evaluation, and joint financing on the basis of
a common social objective, it is also the coordinated intervention of
institutions representing more than one social sector in actions aimed
totally or partially to address problems related to health, welfare and
quality of life. these actions are aimed at gradually involving different
actors in the decision-making process, seeking as an objective an
effective solution to problems. intersectoral activities distinguish the
degrees or levels of relationship of the health sector with other
governmental sectors.

 Trans-sectoral:
is the result of the interaction of biological psychological social and cultural
conditions of the individual with their environment and with society. that is,
it is a resource that allows people to lead a socially and economically
productive individual life. it is the integration of different areas of the
various actor’s representative of the institutions and organizations of
society that will initiate a process of diagnosis planning and
implementation and decision making of issues that they consider of
importance for social development at the local regional and national
territorial levels.

 Environmental Dimension of the Ten Year Public Health Plan
 Environmental dimension of the ten-year health plan:
It is a dimension of the ten-year health plan in which there are a series of
policies that are planned and developed in a tran sectoral way that
integrates the participation of different social actors which as a purpose
seeks to favor and promote the quality of life and health of the population
of present and future generations to thus materialize the right to a healthy
environment through the positive transformation of social health and
environmental determinants. The objective of this dimension is to promote
the health of the population while determining and positively modifying
social determinants, promoting sustainable development through
technologies and clean production models and prioritizing the health and
environmental needs of vulnerable populations. The main components of
this dimension are the healthy habitat and health situations related to
environmental conditions.
