Jindal drilling company India is one of the leading oil drilling companies and is
renowned the world over for its petroleum services. I've worked here as an
roustabout in one of the land rigs.

My work involved following roles & responsibilities:

 Greasing main block and manifold systems.

 Assist dismantling, critical lifts, tandem lifts etc. during rig move.
 Man shell shakers and assist mud chemist with mud weights.
 As well keeps accurate tallies, reports and logs.
 Change mud pump liners and seals in pump room.
 Servicing Manifolds and Xmas Tree.
 Assist crane driver with slings, signals, direction.
 Using lifting gear, ropes and winches to carry out the above tasks
 Assist dismantling and erection during rig move.
 Changing mud pump liners and seals on pumps.
 Nipple up and down BOP and Xmas Tree.
 Assist crane operator with slings, signals. Operating lifting gear and air
winches to carry out the above tasks.
 Relieve roughnecks on breaks
 Assembling or repair oil field equipment such as Gate vales, Ball Valves,
Needle Valves,
 Check Valves, Butterfly Valves using hand and power tools
  Assist in rig move
 Cleaning Duties on different Rig Operating Equipments.
 Also helps in operation like BOP repairing changing spare Parts and gate
valves.
 Cleaning, scraping and painting the deck, equipment and work areas.
 Mixing and conditioning the lubricants ('drilling mud').
