WALK-IN INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN INTERVIEW on the following dates for the posts
of Junior Research Fellow sanctioned under ICMR Multicentric project entitled “Managing depression
in diabetes: A multicentre randomized controlled efficacy trial comparing Fluoxetine and
mindfulness in primary care setting.’’ under Dr Suravi Patra, Department of Psychiatry on the 4th of Dec
2018.
The essential qualifications, experience, consolidated salary and service tenure are as under:
Project Name and Project ID : A multicentre randomized controlled effectiveness comparison trial
of Fluoxetine and mindfulness for depression in diabetes in primary
care setting.
Project Duration : Project duration is 3 years. Initial appointment will be on contract
basis for 3 months and based on performance extension for further
3 months. Following this each contract period will be for 6 months
and renewed till completion of project.

Brief Description about the : Randomized controlled trial comparing fluoxetine with mindfulness
Project in diabetic patients with depression.

Resource Requirement : Two: One Clinical Psychologist and one Psychiatric Nurse

Education : M. Phil. (Clinical Psychology)/ Ph D (Clinical Psychology)/ MSc

(Psychiatric Nursing) / Ph D (Psychiatric Nursing) preference to be
given to PhD

Experience : Experience with conducting clinical research with at least 2 years’

experience will be preferred.

Key Skills : Ability to carry out psychiatric interview and administer psychiatric
screening and diagnostic scales. Ability of measure vitals and
anthropometric measurements.
Job Title : Junior Research Fellow

Location : AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Proposed Salary : Rs.30,000/- including HRA (Rupees Thirty thousand only)

• Administer MINI PLUS 6.0
• Administer psychometric scales for evaluation of depression,
Quality of life and compliance to antidiabetic medications
• Clinical assessments like Pulse, Blood Pressure
• Take complete anthropometric measurements
• Collect blood samples
• Prepare reports for quarterly appraisal.
• Ensure quality of data management.

How to apply?

Interested candidates may appear for walk-in interview. Candidates should complete the application
form (As per the prescribed Performa) and mail it with the copies of qualification and experience certificate
to psych_suravi@aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in. Last date of submission of application is 4th Dec 2018.The
candidates are expected to bring completed application form with all original certificates with a set of photo
copy of educational qualifications, Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) Registration certificate if available
and experience certificate along with three passport size photographs at the time of interview. A written
test would be conducted in case the number of applicants is more than ten.

The venue and timing of interview shall be intimidated in due course of time.

Terms and conditions:

1. These are tenure vacancies under funded project and are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar
pay roll. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of the project and there is no
liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneswar or Principal Investigator. Also, the
candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on this job.

2. Selected candidates have to carry out extensive touring and collect data in field.

3. In case, the candidate wishes to resign, he/she would need to give one-month notice and only after
completion of the assigned work, resignation would be accepted.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
