DSD Direct Masterclass
DSD Direct is an easy and efficient way to deliver direct composite restorations.

The initial technique, developed by Dr Douglas Terry, consists of placing a

transparent silicone index over a handmade wax-up, with holes pierced into
the index to inject the flow composite.

The next evolution was developed by Dr Enrique Diaz Guzman using a DSD2D
design to guide the wax-up, with the goal of achieving a better facially guided
design.

The actual and final evolution was developed by Luken de Arbeloa and
Christian Coachman, with the wax-up completely facially-guided by the DSD
3D design and by gathering natural shapes from the smile donator Library.

The design is then transformed into 2 files: the partial design and the full design,
which has the following benefits – a more efficient clinical procedure, easier to
inject, easier tooth separation and cleaning.
