Pitch: High or Low

In music, melody has high and low sounds. These high and
low sounds in music are called musical sounds or tones.
They are arranged and combined to make a song or a
musical piece.

Melody – is the tuneful part of a song or a musical

composition. It is the arrangement of tones in a musical
line. When tones are arranged well in music, they create a
pleasing melody.
Pitch
• Pitch is the relative highness or lowness of tones.
• It is determined by how fast or slow the source
of sound vibrates. The faster the vibration, the
higher is the pitch. The slower the vibration, the
lower is the pitch.
• The pitch of tones may be high-higher or low-
lower.
