According to The Ohio State University, psychology is the study of the

different minds and behaviors of people. Also, Olson, Vernon, Harris, and Jang
(2001) stated that thousands of human attitudes and behaviors are uniquely different
and have their own distinct characteristics. Inside the classroom, the students have
different attitudes being portrayed in the room. Both I and Kaye are students from
ABM/HUMSS 11, which has differences in our attitudes, behaviors, how we
performed in the classroom as students, and preferences. However, our interests and
hobbies in our routine share similarities.

Following Education Research Techniques, students’ attitude is their tendency

to respond in a certain way towards something; also, as stated by Cherry (2022),
attitude can have a powerful influence over behavior and can affect how they perform
in various situations. Regarding Kaye's attitude, we have distinct attitudes and
behaviors: I see myself as a responsible, hardworking, and determined student who is
strict with myself and has high standards; I also see myself as a pessimist, and I don't
like people who are cramming a lot, because cramming is not my forte and can give
me a panic attack. Kaye's perspective on my attitude is that I am intimidating, but I
am friendly and have the will to teach my classmates the materials they are confused
about. On the other hand, Kaye is an optimistic student who believes that she is
friendly, and she loves to interact with her friends or even classmates; however,
sometimes she performs cramming, during which she experiences stress and panic
attacks, and I see Kaye as a sweet, knowledgeable, and sporty person. Similarly, both
of us are overthinkers—a person who dwells on or worries about the same thought
repeatedly (Witmer, 2021), and we are both introverts—a person whose shyness and
focus on our inner self than our external world (Casarella, 2022); albeit having
different actions influence our behaviors and attitudes, I and Kaye still have
similarities that share the same behaviors and attitudes.

In accordance with Kettering Global (2019), being exposed to our work,
school, family, religion, and responsibility in the community can be overwhelming,
resulting in a small amount of space for us to enjoy ourselves. Furthermore, engaging
in our hobbies is a great way to disconnect from our work; it can also help us socialize
with others and reduce our stress. My interests and hobbies are my methods of
reducing my stress; playing the guitar is one of them. Kaye's hobbies and interests
include taekwondo. In the same way, both of us like reading a book, drawing, and
singing karaoke.

Every person has different norms and cultural norms, knowledge, and
available information; preferences are the things that a person wants to do and can be
influenced by our past experiences and decisions; from time to time, this can be
changed (La Trobe University, n.d.). Evaluating our preferences, I like to watch
drama movies because they express real-life scenarios, unlike Kaye, who loves
science fiction type movies; both Kaye and I have similar preferences, Bulalo, a
Filipino food; our favorite colors are yellow and purple; and we also like the comedy
genre in movies. In conclusion, Kaye and I share differences and similarities in our
attitudes, behaviors, hobbies, interests, and preferences, I am a negative person while
she is a positive one; she prefers taekwondo as one of her hobbies while playing
guitar is mine; Kaye likes science fiction; on the other hand, I prefer comedy movies.
Likewise, we share similarities as well: we are both introverts who are shy to interact
with people but are talkative when we interact with our friends; we also love reading
books, drawing, and singing as our hobbies; and similarly, our preferences share the
same thing: we both like comedy movies; we love yellow and purple color; and we
like the Filipino food, Bulalo. Both Kaye and I have similarities with our routines,
like interests and hobbies, that still unite us, despite having distinct characteristics
with our attitude and behavior, as well as how we performed in the classroom as
students.
