Physical Fitness Testing should be done in order. Start with the measurements of the body composition
followed by the motor fitness tests, and then flexibility, muscular power and strength, muscular
endurance, and finally the cardio respiratory fitness.

Fitness is a condition in which an individual has sufficient energy to avoid fatigue and enjoy life. Physical
fitness is divided into four health and six skill-related components.

Physical Fitness Test is standardized test by the former Bureau of Physical Education and School Sports
(BPESS). It gives you information about the status of your overall physical fitness.

Two Types of Physical Fitness Test:


Pre-test – done at the beginning of the school year
Post-test – done during the last month of the school year

BMI is a measure that uses your height and weight to work out if your weight is healthy. Formula =
weight / height in m * height in m / weight in Lbs * 703 / height in inch * height in inch.
Used as a screening tool to identify whether an adult is at a healthy weight.

BMI less than 18.50 = underweight


BMI 18.50 – 24.99 = healthy weight
BMI 25 – 29.99 = overweight
BMI 30 or more = obese

Body is made up of water, fat, protein, carbohydrate and various vitamins and minerals.
