Ed Technology Specialists Academic Integrity Policy


Ed Technology Specialists maintains an academic integrity policy for all participants taking our courses. Work must
be entirely one’s own; plagiarism of any kind is a violation of our policies. Participants may not copy any parts of
another (present or past) participant and submit that work as their own. Participants are also barred from
collaborating on any assessment that is intended to be completed individually, unless first getting permission from
the instructor. Participants who fail to meet Ed Technology Specialists’ academic integrity standards will receive a
failing grade for their course and may not be allowed to take further courses with Ed Technology Specialists. Ed
Technology Specialists will not refund any course fees for participants who violate the academic integrity policy.

Assignment 3: Create student-centered activities using Google Slides


Read the article “10 Google Slides activities to add awesome to classes”. Create two different
student-centered activities in which students utilized Google Slides in the classroom or at home
to enhance their learning and demonstrate what they know. Each activity should include a
detailed description, at least one paragraph long, on how students will benefit from process.

Read the article “16 Ideas for Student Projects using Google Docs, Slides, and Forms”. Pick
one of the ways the article says students can use Google Forms: Peer Survey, Peer Review,
Feedback Form, Quiz, or Visual Representation of a Data set. Create a learning activity in which
one of these strategies is implemented. Write a summary of the learning activity, highlighting
how Google Forms are being used.

Assignment 2: Create a Student Project/ Learning Activity with Google Sites

Read the article "7 Ideas for Using Google Sites". This article discusses many ideas on how to
use Google Sites in the classroom, including some student-centered projects.

Choose ONE of the following tasks:


■ Create a student project in which students use Google Sites to research and show what
they have learned. You may use one of the ideas in the article, or you may come up
with your own idea. Include a write-up of the class project at least three paragraphs
long. “Rubric for Planned Student Activity/Project” will be used for assessment.
■ OR create a learning experience that involves Google Sites. The experience must
include objectives, instructions, and a sample Google Site that could be created or used
by students.

Module 5: Google Calendar

Read the article "12 Google Calendar Tricks You're Probably Not Using". Write a quick
summary of the article. Then compare and contrast traditional methods of student plan books vs.
using a digital cloud planner via Google Calendar. Include why you would encourage students
and parents to utilize Google Calendar as a planner and form of communication in the upcoming
school year, and any tips and tricks you would share with them. Include possible roadblocks and
possible solutions. Your response should be at least three paragraphs long. The rubric “Article
Analysis and Writing Activity” will be used.
